Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and browser-storage technologies used by CarryLink, which technologies are necessary, and how you can control optional analytics.

1. About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how CarryLink uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies when you visit or use carrylink.me. It should be read together with the CarryLink Privacy Policy.

Some technologies are necessary for the platform to operate, maintain authentication, remember preferences, or store your privacy choices. Optional analytics technologies are controlled separately and are not required to use CarryLink's core services.

Read the CarryLink Privacy Policy.

2. Necessary and functional technologies

CarryLink uses necessary and functional technologies to support core platform functions, authentication, security, language preferences, and privacy choices. These technologies are not used by CarryLink for advertising purposes.

CarryLink stores the NEXT_LOCALE first-party cookie to remember your selected language. It is configured with a one-year maximum age, applies across the site, and uses the SameSite=Lax setting.

3. Authentication and session storage

CarryLink uses Supabase authentication services. The CarryLink browser client uses Supabase's browser-session persistence behavior, which can store authentication session information in the browser's local storage so that a signed-in session can persist across page loads and browser activity.

Authentication storage is used to provide account access and session functionality. Removing authentication storage or signing out may end or disrupt your authenticated CarryLink session.

4. Privacy-choice storage

CarryLink stores your cookie and analytics preference in browser local storage under the key carrylink_cookie_consent. This record contains the consent-version number, whether analytics has been allowed, and the date and time when the preference was updated.

This privacy-choice record allows CarryLink to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics and prevents the consent banner from being shown unnecessarily on every visit. It is not an advertising identifier.

5. Optional analytics

CarryLink may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the platform and to measure website usage and performance. CarryLink treats analytics as optional and does not require analytics consent for access to core platform functions.

Under CarryLink's consent configuration, optional analytics will not be enabled unless you choose to allow analytics through the privacy controls.

When enabled, Google Analytics may collect information such as usage and session statistics, approximate geographic information, and browser or device information. Google Analytics uses a pseudonymous client identifier to distinguish browser instances.

6. Google Analytics cookies

When Google Analytics is enabled with your permission, GA4 may use the first-party cookie _ga to distinguish users and a cookie named _ga_CONTAINER_ID to maintain session state. Google documents a default expiration period of two years for these cookies, although browser restrictions, configuration changes, deletion by the user, or other technical controls may shorten their actual lifetime.

CarryLink does not enable optional Google Analytics merely because you visit the site. Under CarryLink's consent design, analytics is activated only after analytics permission has been granted.

7. Your analytics choices

You can accept all optional analytics, reject non-essential analytics, or manage your preferences through CarryLink's privacy controls. Analytics is not preselected when a new consent decision is required.

You can change your analytics preference later by using Cookie Settings. Changing your preference applies to future optional analytics processing. You can also remove existing cookies or browser storage using your browser controls.

8. Advertising technologies

CarryLink's current consent design does not use the analytics choice as consent for personalized advertising. Advertising-related consent must not be inferred from permission to use analytics.

If CarryLink introduces advertising or additional tracking technologies in the future, this Cookie Policy and the applicable consent controls should be updated before those technologies are used where consent or additional disclosure is required.

9. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies and clear local storage through browser settings. Blocking or deleting necessary authentication or preference storage may affect CarryLink functionality, require you to sign in again, reset your selected language, or cause CarryLink to request your privacy choices again.

Browser privacy features and extensions may also restrict cookies or similar technologies independently of the choices made through CarryLink's privacy controls.

10. Third-party services

CarryLink uses third-party services as described in the Privacy Policy, including Supabase for application infrastructure and authentication and, when enabled with appropriate permission, Google Analytics for optional analytics. Third-party providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy documentation when providing their services.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

CarryLink may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, service providers, legal requirements, or CarryLink's data-processing practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating this policy and, where required, the consent controls or other notices presented to users.
