Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

CarryLink respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal data responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how CarryLink processes personal data when you visit carrylink.me, create or use an account, send or carry packages, operate or use a Partner Location, communicate through the platform, complete identity verification, make or receive payments, participate in package tracking, or otherwise use CarryLink services.

2. Personal data we process

Depending on how you use CarryLink, we may process account and profile information such as your name, email address, telephone number, role, and account identifiers; identity-verification information, including identification documents and verification photographs or selfies; package, shipment, route, pickup, handoff, collection, recipient, and delivery information; Partner Location business, contact, address, city, and country information; payment, escrow, refund, wallet, withdrawal, payout, and transaction records; messages, uploaded files, package photographs, reviews, support communications, dispute information and evidence; and security, audit, fraud-prevention, and service-event records.

When a traveler uses CarryLink location-sharing features, CarryLink may process precise location information such as latitude and longitude together with associated tracking information such as timestamps, accuracy, speed, battery information, and device identifiers where supplied by the application or device.

3. How we collect personal data

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, submit forms, upload documents or files, create or manage shipments or trips, communicate through CarryLink, request withdrawals, submit disputes, or otherwise interact with the service. We also collect operational information generated while CarryLink performs delivery, custody, security, payment, notification, and tracking functions.

Some information is received from service providers involved in operating CarryLink, including authentication, hosting and storage, payment, and communications providers.

4. Why we process personal data

We process personal data to provide and administer CarryLink; authenticate users; manage accounts and roles; match senders and travelers; coordinate Partner Location handoffs; process package custody and collection; provide tracking and notifications; process payments, escrow, refunds, wallets and withdrawals; verify identities and traveler eligibility; prevent fraud and protect platform security; investigate disputes; provide support; maintain records; comply with legal obligations; and improve the reliability and performance of the service.

Where required by applicable law, processing is based on an appropriate legal basis, which may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, CarryLink's legitimate interests, protection of legal rights and platform security, or your consent where consent is required.

5. Identity verification and security

CarryLink uses identity-verification information to review identity and eligibility, protect users, reduce fraud, investigate misuse, and support platform security. Identity documents and verification images can contain sensitive identifying information and are handled as restricted operational data.

6. Location and delivery tracking

When location sharing is enabled for an active delivery, CarryLink may process a traveler's location to support package tracking, custody verification, delivery operations, safety, and fraud detection. Location information may be associated with a package, traveler, tracking session, device information, and timestamps.

Browser or device permission may be required before location information can be obtained. You can control location permissions through your browser or device, although disabling location access may prevent location-dependent CarryLink functions from operating.

7. Payments and financial information

CarryLink uses payment service providers, including Stripe, for payment-related functions. CarryLink may retain transaction identifiers, payment status, escrow information, refund information, payout or withdrawal records, and related accounting information. Payment providers may independently process payment credentials and other information under their own privacy terms.

8. Service providers and disclosures

CarryLink uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the platform. These include Supabase for application infrastructure such as authentication, database and storage services, Stripe for payment-related services, and email infrastructure used to send transactional or service communications.

Personal data may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to provide a requested transaction or delivery, protect CarryLink or its users, investigate fraud or disputes, enforce agreements, comply with applicable law or valid legal process, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

CarryLink does not treat the disclosure of personal data to service providers acting on its behalf as permission for those providers to use the information for unrelated purposes.

9. Cookies, browser storage and analytics

CarryLink uses technologies necessary to operate the service and remember certain user choices. For example, a language preference may be stored so CarryLink can present the platform in the selected language, and browser storage may be used to remember privacy choices.

Optional analytics technologies will only be enabled according to the privacy choices presented through CarryLink's consent controls where consent is required. You can revisit those choices using Cookie Settings. Additional information is available in the Cookie Policy.

Read the CarryLink Cookie Policy.

10. International data processing

CarryLink is designed for international delivery activity and may involve users, Partner Locations, service providers, and technical infrastructure in different countries. Personal data may therefore be processed outside the country in which it was originally collected. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, CarryLink will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or other recognized safeguard.

11. Data retention

CarryLink retains personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the service, maintaining transaction and custody records, resolving disputes, protecting against fraud, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, accounting, regulatory, or security requirements. Retention periods may differ according to the type of information and applicable obligations.

When information is no longer required, CarryLink will delete, anonymize, or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational constraints.

12. Data security

CarryLink uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse. These measures include access controls and security restrictions appropriate to platform functions. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Residents of the European Economic Area and other jurisdictions with similar protections may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. CarryLink may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain privacy requests.

14. Account deletion and legal records

Requests to delete an account may result in deletion or anonymization of information that is no longer required. CarryLink may retain information where retention is necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, payment or accounting records, unresolved disputes, legal claims, or other lawful purposes.

15. Children's privacy

CarryLink is not intended for children who are not legally able to enter into the transactions offered through the platform. CarryLink does not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

CarryLink may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, legal requirements, or data-processing practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the policy and, where required, providing additional notice.
